Jasper Connections creates opportunities for people to connect with themselves, others and the natural world with the goal of increasing self-awareness and embodiment, and building empathy; all through somatics, expressive arts, experiential learning and eco therapy.

  • As queer non-binary creatives and experiential therapist specializing in LGBTQ+ support, our passion is fostering a safe space for embracing authenticity and learning regulation tools. We work with both monogamous and ethically non-monogamous individuals and families, appreciating body-positive and body-neutral perspectives while being mindful of cultural and economic differences. We bring a non-pathologizing approach, understanding the adaptive nature of our nervous system.

In times of crisis, our nervous system's protective adaptations can lead to feelings of fear, anxiety, or numbness, limiting our ability to imagine, connect, and create. We take a systems approach, identifying root causes of mental health issues related to past events, family dynamics, community, or societal experiences.

Suppression of our authentic self can be chronic and traumatic. Reclaiming the safety of being and honoring our true selves it powerfully healing. Believing in the profound impact of the therapeutic relationship, we prioritize building trust and connection to empower individuals to explore and embrace their authentic selves.

  • We are originally from Appalachia and are now living in what is colonially known as Bellingham, WA, the indigenous homelands of the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Tribe. We approaching our work with a decolonizing lens informed by intersectionality and systems of oppression.

We believe that connection is healing; connecting with our self, our ancestors, the land, sea and others around us. We acknowledge that indigenous folks cultivated this knowledge and land before colonization, which has removed and continuous to separate folks from the land, their culture and their communities.
